Prime Video has just released the first trailer for The Wrecking Crew, the new 'Lethal Weapon-style' action comedy starring Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa.
Set for a streaming release later this month, the movie sees the stars play estranged half-brothers who are forced to reunite on the streets of Hawaii after their father’s mysterious death.
"As they set out to uncover the truth, buried secrets resurface and loyalties are tested, unveiling a conspiracy that can tear their family apart," the plot synopsis adds.
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Blue Beetle) and written by Jonathan Tropper (Your Friends and Neighbours), the cast of The Wrecking Crew also includes Claes Bang (Bad Sisters), Jacob Batalon (the MCU Spider-Man trilogy), Morena Baccarin (Deadpool), Stephen Root (Get Out) and Temuera Morrison (Star Wars).
The movie was spurred into existence back in 2021 by Bautista, who tweeted at the time: "Just going to throw this out into the atmosphere and see what happens.
"Here we go… Me and Momoa in a Lethal Weapon-type buddy cop movie... Ok! There it is. Now we wait."
A few days later, Momoa confirmed his interest in the project and then in 2023, it was reported that the action comedy was moving forward.

Last year, JOE spoke to Jacob Batalon. This was ahead of the release of another action film featuring him, Novocaine.
At the time, we asked him about The Wrecking Crew, to which he replied:
"It's a lot of crazy, ridiculous action scenes for sure. It's basically just about Hawaii and [Bautista and Momoa are] basically trying to figure out who murdered their father.
"I help them through that stuff. Yeah, it's great."
The Wrecking Crew will be released on Prime Video on 28 January 2026. Check out its trailer below:
