The first trailer for Matt Groening’s new show is here, and we’re extremely excited

Rudi Kinsella

Disenchantment

 We can’t wait.

We owe quite a bit to Matt Groening.

He gave us what is undoubtedly one of the best shows of all time in The Simpsons, a show that had a huge impact on millions lives around the world, and defined a generation.

Sure the new episodes of The Simpsons are a bit shite, but that’s not important. We got about 15 years of world class television, and we’ll always be grateful for it.

He also created Futurama, a show which definitely did not have the same fanbase as The Simpsons, but was definitely worth a few laughs.

If, somehow, you’re sick of watching the same episodes of The Simpsons and Futurama over and over again – we have some great news for you.

The third generation of Matt Groening creations: Disenchantment.

Disenchanted is set a long time ago, and seems to have more similarities with Futurama rather than The Simpsons by the looks of the animation.

Just over a month ago we got our first look at some of the drawings from the new show, but now we have the first official trailer.

Take a look:

The show premieres on Netflix on 17 August.

It’s Groening’s first show in 19 years, and if you’re anything like us, you’re absolutely buzzing.

Bring it on.
