#TRAILERCHEST: Spider-Man: Far From Home is here and it’s packed with action

Spider-Man: Far from Home

The wall-crawler is back!

After making an incredible debut as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland built on his brilliant start as the web-crawler by doing the impossible in Spider-Man: Homecoming, breathing new life into the beloved character.

No disrespect to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s takes on the character, but there was the very real threat that Spider-Man fatigue was going to kick in with the third big screen iteration of the character in just 15 years.

Thankfully, Holland was superb in Jon Watts’ film.

Funny, geeky, charming, and most importantly, actually looking like a teenager, the English actor infused the role with the perfect balance of character, humour and physicality.

Of course, the last time we saw Holland’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, he was a cloud of ashes after Thanos’ fatal finger snap led to Peter Parker’s demise on Titan.

Now, the iconic character is back and he’s teaming up with a few familiar faces from S.H.I.E.L.D to combat a mysterious new foe.

With the brilliant Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse currently packing cinemas, we’re delighted to see that the wall-crawler continues to shine.

Cast: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake GyllenhaaL, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton.

Plot’s it all about?: Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series. Our friendly neighbourhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent.

Director: Jon Watts.

Release date: 5 July, 2019.
