JOE is always wary about how certain professions are portrayed in films, although some of them are 100% accurate.
We all know that scientists wear glasses, college professors have leather elbow patches on their jackets, and journalists are only interested in hard-hitting and factual current affairs stories.
Lucky for us then that Seth Rogen and James Franco seem to have ripped up the movie cliché rulebook, because the Red Band trailer for their new film The Interview looks more like Anchorman than All The Presidents Men.
The duo play a TV producer and celebrity TV show host who are fed up covering empty shallow news stories like Nicky Minaj at award ceremonies or Matthew McConaughey with a goat. Yep, it’s that sort of movie.
Eager to cover more hard-hitting news, the duo score an interview with Kim Jong-un, but the CIA requests that they assassinate the North Korean leader while they’re in his presence.
Rogen is co-director on this one along with his Superbad and This Is The End partner Evan Goldberg so we know we’re in safe hands.
This one looks very good…
