It looks like it’s Out of the Furnace… and into the Oscar race for the cast of this new gritty American thriller.
A cracking collection of actors is led by Christian Bale and Casey Affleck as two blue-collar bros who fall foul of a violent Northeastern crime syndicate led by a pretty terrifying looking Woody Harrelson.
Willem Dafoe, Forest Whitaker, Sam Shephard and Zoe Saldana all pop up to help shout “Hey Oscar Academy! Look at us acting good!” really, really loudly.
The violent, industrial film is directed by Scott Cooper, the man behind 2010’s Crazy Heart, a film that starred Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell as rival Country and Western singers.
Trust us, it was way better than it sounds and so that’s why we’re really looking forward to Out Of The Furnace. Here’s Batman doing the business:
