TV viewers on Sunday night got a break from the Olympic Games to take in some real sport in the form of Robot Wars.

Well, maybe not quite, but the BBC show continued its triumphant return with an achievement for the ages. The latest contender to make a name for itself was Apollo, with the Welsh-built robot flipping not one but two of the house robots. https://twitter.com/BBCTwo/status/764908709621313536 People were stunned. https://twitter.com/Joshter50/status/764909784613187584 https://twitter.com/danreilly321/status/764909443700129792 Especially when Apollo flipped dead metal for a second time. https://twitter.com/BeechardRich/status/764913397242667009 They knew how big a deal it was. https://twitter.com/StefBowPhoto/status/764908371581476865 But some were left wanting more https://twitter.com/jallford/status/764911365848965120 Even if others thought some things should remain sacred in the world of Robot Wars https://twitter.com/tom_winterton98/status/764908879838838785 Team Apollo were pretty happy with their achievements - and why wouldn't they be? https://twitter.com/apollorobot/status/764910118282592256 After the excitement of week one, we've also had the entrance of Foxic to contend with (even if it might not have been the best around). We're excited to see what the show does for its next trick. Whatever it does, Robot Wars has already won us over, just like it did the first time around.
