Man tasered during incident with Gardaí in Dublin

Gardaí have confirmed that a man was tasered during an incident at a house in Ronanstown on Wednesday.

An Garda Síochána were called to the scene in West Dublin on Wednesday morning, and requested a media blackout on all platforms.

According to a statement issued on Thursday morning: “A Taser device was used and the matter has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC). One individual (male) was involved in this incident and was arrested and is currently in Garda custody.”

No further information regarding the nature of the man’s arrest, or what he has been charged with, was made public.

The man’s name and age have also not been released.
