Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas

A confusing amount of people.

On Wednesday, the man behind Mrs Brown’s Boys, Brendan O’Carroll, spoke about the potential affect that Brexit may have on the popular show.

And when we call it a popular show, we really mean it’s a popular show.

RTÉ have revealed that a total of 612,000 people watched Mrs Brown’s Boys – Exotic Mammy during the festive period.

The Young Offenders didn’t do too badly either, with 480,000 viewers tuning in to the much-anticipated seasonal special starring Alex Murphy, Chris Walley and Hilary Rose, and with Robert Sheehan guest starring.

In addition, it has been streamed to date over 18,000 times on RTÉ Player.

Home Alone was the most watched movie on RTÉ this Christmas, which is hardly surprising as it is an absolute classic.

A Fair City hour long special which aired on Christmas Day on RTÉ One was watched by an audience of 349,000, with the following Stephen’s Day episode drawing 391,000 viewers.

So long story short, we really do love our television over Christmas.
