OFFICIAL: Metallica are playing Slane and here’s all the details you need to know

Metallica’s WorldWired Tour is coming to Ireland next year, as in news that doesn’t come as a major surprise given recent speculation, the metal gods have confirmed they will be playing at Slane Castle on Saturday, 8 June, 2019.

It will be Metallica’s first Irish show in a decade. Tickets from €89.50, including booking fee, go on sale to the general public on Friday 28 September at 10am

As far as the world tour is concerned, kicking off on 1 May, 2019 at Lisbon’s Estadio Restelo, it will include 25 WorldWired shows across 20 countries, include a good dozen cities not visited on the 2017-2018 legs of the tour, such as Milan, Zürich, Dublin, Brussels, Berlin, Moscow, Warsaw, Bucharest and Gothenburg, and first ever appearances in Trondheim, Norway, Hämeenlinna, Finland and Tartu, Estonia.

Special guests Ghost and Bokassa will provide support on all dates.

The Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket will be returning; one ticket will allow floor access to any Metallica show on the 2019 UK/Europe tour.

From A(msterdam) to Z(urich) and all points between, Black Ticket holders need only choose the show(s) and make an online reservation no less than 48 hours before the gig. A limited number of 750 of these Black Tickets* will be available for €598. More info is available here.

As with most of Metallica’s WorldWired shows, every ticket purchased includes a choice of standard physical or standard digital copy of the band’s 10th and current album, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
